Emblicanin A and B, Ellagotannin, Pedunculagin, Punigluconin, Chebulagic Acid (Benzopyran Tannin), Chebulinic Acid (Ellagitannin), Geraniin (dehydroellagitannin), Corilagin (Ellagitannin), Ellagic Acid, Phyllemblin, Pyrogalol, Gallic Acid, Corilagin, Triterpenes (Secofriedelanophyllemblicoside), Vitamins (Ascorbic Acid), Essential Oil (Methyl Salicylate and benzaldehyde)), polyphenols, multi-vitamins and inorganic compounds discovered in modern research. Studies have shown organic chemical components such as gallic acid, ellagic acid, ascorbic acid phyllembein, emblicanine A and B, and quercetin. The fruits contain several hydrolysable tannins like emblicanin A and emblicanin B which have anti-oxidant properties. Emblicanin A has a powerful growth inhibitory effect on prostate cancer cells. includes phyllantidine as an alkaloid that has proven neuropharmacological activity on the central nervous system.
